The Law of Iron
The following remarkable interview occurred this week between Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller and CNN’s Jake Tapper. The discussion involved the capture of Nicholas Maduro of Venezuela, the fate of its enormous resources, and growing imperialistic intentions targeting the island of Greenland.
Mr. Miller in the interview stated that one of the largest naval armadas in history had blockaded Venezuela. He dismissed “international niceties” and questions about the legality of the capture of Maduro, and made the following assertions.
- “We live in a world, in the real world, Jake, that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world from the beginning of time.”
- “By definition, we are in charge because we have the United States military stationed outside the country. We set the terms and conditions. We have a complete embargo on all of their oil and their ability to do commerce. For them to do commerce they need our permission. For them to be able to run an economy they need our permission.”
After declaring in essence that might makes right, Mr. Miller made the following statements regarding the Danish colony of Greenland:
- “It is the formal position of the US government… that Greenland should be part of the United States.”
- The United States “is NATO” and in order to fulfill its treaty obligations it must have Greenland.
- “By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? What is the basis of their territorial claim? What is their basis of having Greenland as a colony?”
- “Obviously Greenland should be part of the United States.”
- “Nobody is going to fight the United States, militarily, over the future of Greenland.”
It was subsequently confirmed by the White House that it was considering all options, including military force, to seize Greenland.[i] For its part, Denmark has advised that it will shoot first and ask questions later if America attempts to invade its colony.[ii]
To many, this abrasive rhetoric is bewildering. What? America is going to invade … (checks notes) … Greenland?
Administration officials claim the menacing posture is simply “the art of the deal”. Trump wants Greenland for strategic reasons and for its rare earth minerals, and thinks military threats will help the acquisition. But this claim only raises more questions. What friend demands another friend’s resources at gunpoint? What kind of “deal” is obtained by threats of war? Where is this headed? What does it mean?
FOUNDATIONS
As this website has often discussed, in concept America was founded on an absolute hatred for tyranny.
The Declaration of Independence itself is a litany of complaints against the high-handed imperialism of King George III. Here are just a few you should consider and contemplate.
- Grievance 7: "He has endeavored to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners..."
- Grievance 14: "For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us."
- Grievance 15: "For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States."
- Grievance 16: "For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world."
- Grievance 17: "For imposing taxes on us without our consent."
- Grievance 18: "For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Jury trial."
- Grievance 19: "For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offenses.”
- Grievance 24: "He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people."
The Founding Fathers and their countrymen hated the imperialism of King George III. They hated his tariffs, his taxes and his control of their trade. They hated how he dictated to them from across the ocean, and demanded their resources. Thomas Jefferson called him “a plundering tyrant.”
The colonists loathed how King George passed laws which he pretended legitimized his cruelty and oppression. “I’m acting according to law!”, said King George, “its you who are the law breakers!”
But there are higher laws than King George, and higher Powers than earthly rulers. The colonists appealed to these higher laws that are forever above all earthly tyrannical laws. The Declaration of Independence states:
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…[iii]
Human laws may authorize theft, but they cannot supersede that eternal law which declares, “Thou Shalt not steal”. Human laws may legitimize murder, but there can be no immunity from the bar of God, which declares “Thou shalt not kill.”
One of the grievances of the colonies was that King George was shielding British troops from accountability for the murder of colonists. Britain made its soldiers above, and immune from, the civil law. That is fascinating.
Is there a modern equivalent? As checks and balances are broken down and the deterioration of the principles of the Republic become metastatic, one would expect there must be. And astonishingly, according to a recent statement by Vice President Vance, ICE agents operate pursuant to federal law alone and have “absolute immunity.”[iv]
The precedent here is very simple. You have a federal law enforcement official engaging in federal law enforcement action – that’s a federal issue. That guy is protected by absolute immunity. – J. D. Vance
If you read that too fast, go back and read it again slower.
Vance is not just arguing there should not be civil accountability for the specific ICE agent who shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026. Vance is asserting that state laws do not apply to federal agents like ICE at all. According to Vance, federal agents, ICE agents, IRS agents, soldiers, etc. are all immune from civil penalties like state laws against murder.[v] And that, folks, is textbook King George-ism.
If King George did not hold his soldiers accountable for wrongs against the colonists, the colonists are incapable of doing so because British soldiers are immune from colonial penalties.
It ought to raise the hair on your arms.
SPEAKS LIKE A DRAGON
There is only one way to make sense of it all.
The Bible says that America begins lamb-like. It comes up out of the new world, out of the land (Revelation 13:11); it is not one of the nations that came out of the waters of the old world (Daniel 7). It is a place of refuge for the woman who fled from the persecution of the Papacy. But the Bible says that for all of these positive attributes it will speak like a dragon – Revelation 13:11. Since a nation speaks through its legislative bodies, the Bible reveals that we will see many oppressive and even imperialistic laws today and in the future.
You will never hear this from big-box Christianity with its repetitive, hypnotic 7-11 music and its near illiteracy of the Bible. But the Bible warns that the benevolent mighty power which was the envy of the world will change. It will “speak like a dragon” – Revelation 13:11. What does that mean? Who or what is “the dragon”? And how will America speak like it?
The dragon, the Roman empire mentioned in Revelation 12, and the empire which held dominion at the time of Christ’s life on this earth, was not merely a pagan power. No, it was an imperialistic power. Writing of the same power, the prophet Daniel saw the great iron teeth of the Roman empire.
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns – Daniel 7:7.
Daniel saw its cruelty. It’s force. It’s imperialism. He saw the law of iron. And in declaring that the lamb-like beast will “speak like a dragon”, the Bible accurately predicted the developments of today.
Stephen Miller also unknowingly referenced Bible prophecy about the lamb-like beast: it will control buying and selling. It will control or coerce whole countries and impose its will on their economies. It will “causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” – Revelation 13:16, 17. The Bible prophesies that America will impose restrictions on commerce, and impose the mark of the beast on the whole world.
Miller boasts that Venezuela cannot run its economy or do commerce without the consent of America, and that sure sounds like Revelation 13. But this control is small scale compared to what is coming. Palantir. Google. Microsoft. Alphabet. Visa. Mastercard. Hosts of other American and international companies are involved in building the global digital prison prophesied in Revelation 13.
You need to wake up and realize that Bible prophecy is true, and the only way to make sense of this mad world is by the Word of God. It is given to you for your sake because the God of the universe wants you personally to understand what is happening, and what is about to happen.
Seizing the oil of a sovereign nation but leaving its communist government intact. Demanding Greenland. Economic controls. Absolute immunity. There is much more to come.
